Requirements:
- Must be an Economics and Accounting major
- Minimum Accounting and Overall GPA of 3.2
- Minimum of "B" letter grade in courses assigned for you to tutor or grade
- Must have already completed or be currently enrolled in Econ 136A and Econ 137A
- Minimum 3 quarters remaining at UCSB (Graduating Spring 2025 or later)

What are the responsibilities of a tutor?
Tutors are required to conduct and prepare for 1 to 2 sections per week, hold 2 Office Hours a week in the TAG Room (NH 1122), teach review sessions, and attend the lectures of their assigned class. They are also required to attend TAG events, such as Meet the Tutors and Graders, Meet the Programs, and quarterly socials. It is important to note that section times are set by the university and not subject to the discretion of individual tutors.
What are the responsibilities of a grader?
Graders are required to proctor exams and grade homework assignments, midterms, and finals. They are also required to attend TAG events, such as Meet the Tutors and Graders, Meet the Programs, and quarterly socials. Graders do not have to attend the lectures of their assigned class unless they are proctoring an exam.
Can I apply for both positions?
Yes, you may apply for both positions. However, you will only be offered one position.
Do tutors and graders get paid?
Yes, both tutors and graders are paid positions and employees of UCSB.
Where is the TAG room?
The TAG Room is located in North Hall Room 1122. Tutor office hours are conducted in the TAG Room.

In addition to the responsibilities of a regular Tutor, the Head Tutor is responsible for the following: determine class assignments and schedule all of the Tutors each quarter, conduct a new Tutor training each quarter, organize Quarterly TAG meetings with the Head Grader and Faculty Advisor, conduct TAG Interviews with the Head Grader and Faculty Advisor, periodically meet with the Head Grader and Faculty Advisor, communicate with the Tutors, and collect and review end-of-quarter Tutor evaluations.
WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE HEAD grader?
In addition to the responsibilities of a regular Grader, the Head Grader is responsible for the following: determine class assignments and schedule all of the Graders each quarter, conduct a new Grader training each quarter, organize Quarterly TAG meetings with the Head Tutor and Faculty Advisor, conduct TAG Interviews with the Head Tutor and Faculty Advisor, periodically meet with the Head Tutor and Faculty Advisor, communicate with the Graders, and oversee the TAG website.
