  • ​Must be an Economics and Accounting major
  • Minimum Accounting and Overall GPA of 3.2
  • ​Minimum of "B" letter grade in courses assigned to you
  • Completion of Economics 136A and 137A prior to applying
  • Minimum 3 quarters remaining at UCSB
    Please list your grades for the following Econ classes. If you're currently taking a class, please write "N". If you haven't taken a class, please leave it blank. Transfer students: for Econ 3A and 3B, please list the grades received in your introductory financial accounting classes at your transfer school. Please refer to Gold or the UCSB Catalog for full course titles to match courses appropriately. 
    Overall GPA is found on GOLD. This refers to your cumulative grade point average. Transfer students who have multiple GPAs resulting from a prior college must combine them into a weighted Overall GPA.
    Accounting GPA refers to the grade point average derived from Accounting courses only. It is the GPA resulting from the exact classes that are listed on the front of this application. What are the responsibilities of a tutor?
Tutors are required to teach 1 to 2 sections, hold 2 Office Hours a week, and teach review sessions. Tutors must attend the lectures of their assigned class. They are also required to attend TAG events including Meet the Tutors and Graders, Meet the Program, and quarterly socials.

What are the responsibilities of a grader?
Graders are required to grade homework assignments, midterms, and finals as well as attend TAG events. These events include Meet the Tutors and Graders, Meet the Program, and quarterly socials. Graders do not have to attend the lectures of their assigned class but may be required to proctor exams.

Can I apply for both positions? ​
​No, you may not apply for both positions. Please choose the position you are more interested in.

Yes, tutors and graders are paid positions.
